Reporting to the Senior Marketing Campaign & Partnership Manager at FGL Sports Ltd., the Partnership Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the strategic partnership program specific to our sport ticketing programs, third party merchant partners (gift card program) and creating new partnerships with non competing businesses. These programs may provide avenues for our consumer to engage in sport and ensure easy accessibility to the brand through expanding our touch points and consumer offering, or may be designed to elevate and enrich our brand in consumers minds.
The Partnership Specialist will lead development and administration of these programs and work with internal stakeholders to develop, grow and create these programs. The Partnership Specialist is also responsible for reporting on performance of all program activity and exploring opportunities to strategically expand the programs.
Work with other members of FGL Sports Marketing Team, other FGL Sports functional areas including Purchasing, Finance and Operations, and various external partners to ensure objectives, initiatives and execution of programs are aligned with corporate marketing and sales priorities; Responsible for effective activation and implementation of existing and future third party ticketing programs and merchant programs; gift cards, student cards, credit cards, ski hill and hockey ticketing programs. This includes: Managing recruitment and sign-up of new partners Development of strategic plans to promote card sales with third parties Working with Legal and Finance to create partner agreements Fulfilment of gift card/ticket orders and activation of cards Sales analysis and reporting Ensure the execution of the pre-agreed co-marketing program (if any) Perform third party ticketing and merchant account management duties including periodic customer service and issue resolution Working with Finance to manage partner invoicing and payment Ensuring gift card and promotional creative compliance with brand standards Liaise with Legal, Insurance and Finance/Accounting departments for to ensure proper contractual, budgeting and payment commitments and internal procedures are met, including creation of Purchase Orders and management of invoices to ensure prompt payment; Seek new partnership opportunities with non competing retailers or business that help to elevate brand awareness and affinity and/or drives top line sales; Develop partnerships with vendors to produce special events that drive awareness and traffic to FGL stores; Creates and manages business plans and proposals to drive new initiatives that reach consumers by leveraging 3rd party assets or data; Coordinate and execute strategies and tactics to support merchant programs, events and regional opportunities; Investigate and implement opportunities to streamline the third party ticketing and merchant program process internally; Provide post program reporting and deliver on-demand reporting as requested; Lead or participate in special projects for marketing, as required
Required Skills and Experience
5 years of related work experience- executing third party programs; Post-secondary education (Bachelors/Diploma) in Business, English, Marketing or Communications Background in retail, sporting goods, agency and/or program related area; Experience developing and executing program strategies and tactics on budget and meeting performance targets; Experience managing and developing relationships with external third party suppliers; Demonstrated understanding of marketing strategies and channel execution; Successful experience managing and working with internal teams, external partners and suppliers; Excellent verbal and written skills; A history of innovation, creativity and delivering results; Highly organized, focused with strong attention to detail; Strong initiative, time management, and project management skills; Enjoys sports, is physically active, leads a healthy lifestyle and therefore has a strong affinity to the business.
